Get Crafty This Diwali


Diwali is often called the festival of lights. During this festival, all homes are lit up with kandils and lanterns! This auspicious time of the year marks the victory of good over evil, light over darkness.

Diwali vacation is here and here are 3 art projects that you can do to celebrate Diwali!

1. DIY Diwali Cards:

You will need:
• 6”x6” blank cards (you can also use chart paper
12”x6”folded in half to form a card)
Camlin Krafty White Glue
• Scissors
• Glitter paper in a variety of colours
• Camlin Fabrica 3D Cone Liner – Gold
• Sequins and stickers
Camlin Sketch Pens

• To make the shape of the ‘panti’, cut out a semi-circle out of the glitter paper.
• For the flame part, cut out a flame-shaped paper from the glitter paper.
• Using Camlin Krafty White Glue stick them both on the card as shown in the picture.
• Chose any colour of your choice and draw a zig-zag design using the Camlin Sketch Pen as shown in the picture.
• Cut out the paper below the zig-zag line.
• Colour the edges of the zig-zag lines with the golden colour marker.
• Write ‘Happy Diwali’ at the bottom of the card.
• Write a personalized message inside the card and your card is ready!

2. Paint a Panti:

You will need:
• Pantis
Camlin Artists’ Acrylic Colour 12 Assorted Colours Set
• Kundan/Rhine stones
Camlin Krafty White Glue/Camlin Adhelin Synthetic Glue
• Sparkle powder
• Camlin Fabrica 3D Cone Liner – colour of your choice

• Chose a colour of your choice from Camlin Artists’ Acrylic Colour 12 Assorted Colours Set.
• Paint two coats of colour on the panti.
• Allow it to dry.
• Coat the panti with Camlin Adhelin Synthetic Glue and sprinkle the sparkle powder over it.
• Let it dry.
• Create a design using the rhinestones or you can use Fabrica 3D cone liner to create artistic designs on the panti.

3. DIY Glass Jar Lanterns:

You will need:
• Cookie or candy glass jars
• Camlin Glass colour pack
• Camlin Fabrica Pearl Gold acrylic colour

• Using paint from Camlin Glass colour pack, paint the jar with one coat of colour of your choice.
• Let it dry.
• Add a dash of golden to the lantern with Fabrica gold colour and let it dry.
• Now all you need is a tea-light candle or LED lights to complete your Diwali art project.
